Thank you for your interest in singing with Resonance!
Our annual concert season consists of three performances – two summer concerts held the second weekend of August (preceded by 6-7 weekly rehearsals, a retreat, and a recording session), and a Christmas concert held in early December (preceded by 3-4 rehearsals). Because of this generally fast pace, we seek singers who bring not only talent and experience, but a willingness and ability to practice at home, and come to rehearsals prepared. Musical independence is a key ingredient to being successful with Resonance.
Each year we seek new members of all voice parts (Soprano, Alto, Tenor, Bass), keeping in mind that as a primarily a cappella ensemble, acceptance is based heavily on balance between sections, the roster of returning singers, and the requirements of that season’s repertoire.

Our 2026 Auditions will be held:
Sunday, February 22, 2026, 6-8pm
Community Church of Atascadero
5850 Rosario Ave., Atascadero, CA
Audition Process:
1. Director-led vocalises to determine range and timbre.
2. Sing “The Star-Spangled Banner” in a key chosen by the director (lyrics provided if necessary)
3. Prepare your part to “Sicut Cervus” by Palestrina, to be performed within a quartet. Click HERE to download the sheet music.
4. Perform a sight-singing excerpt within a quartet, to be provided at audition
Auditions will be heard in 15-minute time slots. All those auditioning must register to be assigned a time slot prior to the date of auditions. Walk-in auditions cannot be guaranteed.
